@ Anonymous and raina,The technology to have secpeh (speech synthesis without the need for recording someone's voice has been around for quite along time. I'm fairly certain that the samples in Bezerk were synthesized. Computers in the early 80's could read text. I'm sure there was stuff around before then that could do that.Using pre-recorded voice samples is another matter all together. However, in the games from the 8 bit and early 16 bit era, one would probably be hard pressed to simply tell if the voices samples are synthetic or comes initially from samples. It all has to be compressed and everything, regardless. So you could probably use the two interchangeably when reviewing games from that era. Not worth splitting hairs over :-)
