Good:
TPS gives excitement: Attacking other players or groups of other players always gives you an adrenaline rush. Not knowing if there is a strong character in that group of players, or someone you have been hunting down to get revenge on. The enemy may have great items for you to take, but you could die and lose yours to them.
TPS gives purpose: You train so that you can survive. This world is tough and the thrill of having to watch your surroundings is great. You also train to help defend your group, friends, and race. Hunting down someone who just killed your friend, or moving with a group of players to raid the skeleton’s capital area brings some great feelings of purposes.
TPS gives community: The world is dangerous an undead or ogre may find you and attack at any time, even when you are offline. These dangers help create communities. Players often camp together to help protect each other.
TPS creates legends:
The one thing that amazes me about this game is that there are true legends. Old players who were once great, either feared, or known for helping others, but do not play anymore. Some legends or well known characters still play and it is great knowing you could be a legend one day as well.
Needs work:
New player experience: Being a new player is tough without knowing anything and without any one to help you out. The dev team is working on ways to help new players in the beginning, but the best way to get into the game is to communicate with other players. Contact the mayor, the mayor’s helpers, merchants and players in the capital, players on the forum, or players in the MIRC chat room.

Simple at first, but highly addictive once you get going. There are various features to help new players get started (beginner quests on every race capitol, mayors are automatically alerted when a new player is born, game help channels on mIRC, a player guide and detailed walkthrough)
The game has a very welcoming and supportive community. Player's suggestions and feedback have helped the game developers mold TPS into a well-rounded online adventure that appeals to a wide range of online RPG'ers; from beginners to seasoned veterans of the genre.
Try it out, you won't be disappointed.
