Excellent game constantly improved thanks to the players participation and admins dedication. Three worlds with totally different philosophies, wide panel of character types, easy to play, lots of real time interaction with other players through chat, messages or battles.
one bad aspect, it's totally addictive :p

Simple at first, but highly addictive once you get going. There are various features to help new players get started (beginner quests on every race capitol, mayors are automatically alerted when a new player is born, game help channels on mIRC, a player guide and detailed walkthrough)
The game has a very welcoming and supportive community. Player's suggestions and feedback have helped the game developers mold TPS into a well-rounded online adventure that appeals to a wide range of online RPG'ers; from beginners to seasoned veterans of the genre.
Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Some of these comments sound more like personal gripes than actual reviews of the game...
TPS is a pretty engaging adventure game that combines PvP action, questing, crafting, dungeon crawling, town building and some magic (although this is currently underdevelopped in my opinion). This game has been around a while and those who like it, like it a lot, and I can see why. It doesn't look like much at first, but the worlds come alive once you join a group, start playing with other characters and start going after your own goals. This is what's kept my interest: there is always another goal for me to pursue.
And in my experience, unless you're cheating or disrupting gameplay, you won't have any problems with admins.

This game surprisingly deep for a browser-based game. Diving right in is key to getting the most out of it, because there's so much to discover. TPS is at its best when you're in touch with other players, either on MIRC or interacting with other characters through the ingame chat. Just one warning: very addictive.

The graphics are old fashioned and there are many bugs, as well as bad decisions being made all the time so it's not worth your time.

The game is compelling but the abusive attitude of the administrators of the game basically renders it worthless. They are far too subjective and bend the rules to help their friends out in the game. Go play WoW - at least you won't have to play in an abusive environment.

Great game, was a bit tough to get in to, but by joining one of the bigger groups I could really get my boy off the ground.

Good:
TPS gives excitement: Attacking other players or groups of other players always gives you an adrenaline rush. Not knowing if there is a strong character in that group of players, or someone you have been hunting down to get revenge on. The enemy may have great items for you to take, but you could die and lose yours to them.
TPS gives purpose: You train so that you can survive. This world is tough and the thrill of having to watch your surroundings is great. You also train to help defend your group, friends, and race. Hunting down someone who just killed your friend, or moving with a group of players to raid the skeleton’s capital area brings some great feelings of purposes.
TPS gives community: The world is dangerous an undead or ogre may find you and attack at any time, even when you are offline. These dangers help create communities. Players often camp together to help protect each other.
TPS creates legends:
The one thing that amazes me about this game is that there are true legends. Old players who were once great, either feared, or known for helping others, but do not play anymore. Some legends or well known characters still play and it is great knowing you could be a legend one day as well.
Needs work:
New player experience: Being a new player is tough without knowing anything and without any one to help you out. The dev team is working on ways to help new players in the beginning, but the best way to get into the game is to communicate with other players. Contact the mayor, the mayor’s helpers, merchants and players in the capital, players on the forum, or players in the MIRC chat room.

I play this game for 6-7 years now and I enjoy it thoroughly, the beginning is tough but once you get the TPS fever you dont ever wanna stop.

I been playing this game for 5 years and it still keeps me interested. Since a few months there is a new developers team on it and bringing new features along in. I really hope they keep this going.
